This tutorial will show you how to use CyberStockroom’s cloud-based service to keep track of your inventory online.
The easiest way to get started is to use the import function in the ‘Overview’ Page. You need to make sure that the file you are uploading is a comma separated file (.csv). CyberStockroom is not fussy about how you input the data as long as you follow these simple guidelines:
- The first row should contain the title of each colum
- The only column you MUST include is the product number
- The information that you are allowed to include is: Product Number, Quantity, Product Name, Manufacturer, Supplier, Buy Price, Sell Price, Lead Time
Let’s try to import the following file:
When we upload this file on the Overview page, we see the following:
Although the system can accept all of the above parameters, they are not required. If you hover over the warning icon above ‘Quantity’, you will see that the system assigns a product quantity of 1 by default unless otherwise specified.
Now we select our column titles from the dropdown menus to match as many of the categories as possible. As we match them, the table will light up:
Click import and voila! Your Stockroom page now contains your inventory:
